Are your windows safe for your feathered friends?

Our Save the Songbirds focus this month is on Safe Windows.

Did you know that trees reflected on your windows look different to birds than they do to us? Birds don't see the glass and have no way of knowing that they are in for a collision; they only see the trees and a safe passage.

By making a few simple changes, you can easily and affordably make your windows safe for your neighborhood birds. The Cornell Lab of Ornithology has provided a list of easy solutions to bird strikes.

Our songbird population is decreasing and one way to help bring them back is to create safe windows. Read on for more information.
